Intern Amber has the floor!

📢 Intern speaking - This time Amber!
We are very happy to have our intern Amber de Man on our Insolvency team! From her studies in Social Legal Services at the Hogeschool of Utrecht, she is doing a work placement. Why did Amber choose Vesting Finance as an internship company, how has she experienced it so far and what does she hope to learn in the coming period? Amber is happy to tell you more about it! 👇
👉 Amber, you started your graduate internship at Vesting Finance in January. Why did you choose Vesting Finance?
My parents both work at Vesting Finance and are very positive about it. I did an internship at Vesting Finance for one day when I was 13. During this internship, I did a number of tasks such as answering the phone at the reception desk and printing out and organising certain pieces of work. When I got the opportunity to do an internship this year, I immediately thought of Vesting Finance. Not only because it fits well with my studies, but also because the working atmosphere is nice and the work itself is a lot of fun!
👉How do you like your internship so far?
The work so far has been very instructive. At the beginning you learn all kinds of new things, which takes some getting used to. I myself am very eager to learn so this internship is really perfect for me! Besides learning new things, I am also gaining experience. I can put this experience to good use for my education and for the future!
👉 Which part of the insolvency team do you find most interesting and why?
Personally, I find assessing proposals against final discharge very interesting. This concept is completely new to me and I really enjoy getting to grips with it. I also find this interesting because there are other things involved. You not only look at the proposal itself but also at underlying issues.
👉 What do you hope to learn during this internship?
Besides gaining experience, I hope to learn several things during my internship. Such as assessing proposals against final discharge and drafting a defence. I'm sure I can put the experiences I gain here to good use in the future. Maybe another personal learning or competency?
👉 For you, when is a successful internship?
For me, this is already a successful internship! I have now done an internship at Vesting Finance for just over 10 hours and I have already learnt so much. I have gained new experiences and the working atmosphere is very nice. I enjoy going to Vesting Finance and when I go home I look forward to the next time I can do an internship!
We wish Amber success and, above all, fun during her internship! Would you like to do an internship in our teams, just like Amber? Then contact Tim Been, our Corporate Recruiter, on 06-31695318 or werkenbij@vestingfinance.nl.
