Intern Merlijn has the floor!

Merlijn is a Business Administration student and started her internship with our organisation in January. In the article below, she talks, among other things, about her experiences so far and what she hopes this internship will bring her and Vesting Finance.

We are very happy with our intern Merlijn Perier. From her Business Administration course at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, she has started her graduation internship. During this internship, Merlijn will investigate the possibilities of implementing AI in our collection process, specifically aimed at analysing payment behaviour. Why did Merlijn choose Vesting Finance as an internship company, how has she experienced it so far and how does she look forward to the coming period? Merlijn will gladly tell you more about this! 👇

👉 Merlijn, you started your graduate internship at Vesting Finance in January. How did you find us?

I heard about Vesting Finance through an acquaintance who has enjoyed working there for years. Since I was looking for an internship company, I decided to look up more about Vesting Finance. After visiting the website and sending an open application, I was soon invited for an interview. Before I knew it, I had found an internship and even got to work in the office during my free hours from school prior to the internship!

👉What makes Vesting Finance an interesting internship company for you?

The professional but accessible working atmosphere and the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a relevant field of work make Vesting Finance an ideal place to further develop myself.

‍👉 How have you experienced it so far?

Awesome! Everyone is very welcoming, and I immediately felt welcome in the office. The colleagues are very approachable, which not only makes it more sociable, but also nice for research.

👉Without giving too much away... can you tell us a bit more about your plan?

My plan focuses on investigating how predictive AI can contribute to a more efficient debt collection process at Vesting Finance. In doing so, I hope to make a valuable contribution to innovation within the organisation.

👉What do you hope this internship will bring you and Vesting Finance?

I hope this internship will help me broaden my knowledge and skills, especially in data analytics, AI and the financial sector. In addition, I see it as an opportunity to gain practical experience and further develop myself within a professional environment. For Vesting Finance, I want to offer a fresh perspective and new insights, while learning from the expertise within the company.

An open working atmosphere where I can ask questions, receive feedback and contribute ideas on real cases is essential to achieve my goals and deliver valuable results. I am confident that I will succeed here! 😊
